” It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of Lord”

(Matthew ch 19:24)
Jesus insists only Lord is good. He challenges the men's sincerity by asking him to give all his wealth to the poor and follow Him. The men's refusal demonstrates how easy it is to prefer wealth over depending on The Lord. In response to the disciples' question, Jesus says salvation is impossible with men but not with Lord.
Lord Jesus has said that, " whoever he be of you that forsakes not all that he has, he cannot be my disciples" (Luke 14:33)
These words show a light on all before us. The Lord tells us to forsake all, including status, fame, wealth, material, enjoyment and so on, all of which can prevent us from following Lord. It means we have to give first place to our Lord in our life and not the all things which are mentioned above. These things should not become obstacle in following The Lord. It will not get us salvation. The rich man chose wealth rather than following The Lord. The rich man's giving up his life instead of money showed us that for him to enter the heavenly Kingdom was indeed as difficult as a camel getting through the eye of a needle.
Jesus says, "for what shall it profit a man, if he shell gain the whole world, and lose his own soul ? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul "? (Mark 8:36-37)
When I was meditating on these verses I got some knowledge of Lord's will. People, who live in the world, often take fame and money as life and treasure, believing that acquiring them can enable them to live comfortably, Leisurely and freely. But when their lives are almost over, they come to realize that money cannot extend their lives and that exhausting their lives for wealth is really not worth it. By means of this parable, Lord wants to let us set the motives for our following Him aright, have the faith to follow Him, and finally gain life.
" No man can serve two master's for either he will hate the one, and love the other, or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. You cannot serve Lord and mammon". ( Matthew 6:24)
Here we come to realize that nowadays most of us are like of the rich young man. Most of us work desperately hard to make money. With the result that they aren't able to say prayers, practice spiritual devotions or attend meeting in normal way and their hearts drift away from the Lord. As a matter of fact, we only live once, and if we give up on the opportunity to believe in Lord and get the truth and life for the sake of money. We are above any other created being in Lord's heart and that He will take responsibility for our lives. We need only to believe in Him and follow His commandments honestly.
Prayer
Thank you Lord for guiding us. We came to understand these truth. Lord, we believe that now we know our hearts which is actually very important. Lord help us in our lives ,not to seek riches or a wealthy life, but instead we should be content with sufficient clothing and food. Lord, apart from working normally, for the rest of our time, help us to read your words more, spread your Gospel more, work more in the ministry of army of Jesus and sick to understand the truth. Amen
