Dear Soldiers,

We all know that 2023 is the Silver Jubilee year for the Army of Jesus. The Army of Jesus was founded on 11.11.1998 and the first Troop Meeting was started on 12.11.1998. We are celebrating the Silver Jubilee on  11,12 & 13 November in Tamil Nadu with a preparation of seven months starting from April.   

Seven themes are taken for 7 months.

 April is given as  the  Month of Purification.

Psa 19:12  Who can detect his own mistake? Cleanse me from hidden sin.

There are hidden sins and exposed sins.

David had the special grace from the Lord to see through his soul and his iniquities which were innumerable. They were more than the hairs on his head  hence he had no courage to stand in the presence of the Lord.

Psa 40:12  Innumerable evils have surrounded me; my iniquities have overtaken me so that I cannot see. They are more in number than the hair on my head, and my courage has forsaken me. 

As in a trade we exchange money for something which we need, every time when we sin, we are trading with satan and he gets the right to steal away something from us. Many Christians even in the Age of Grace, (even after Jesus has brought us redemption) live in sicknesses caused  by satan, in curses and in lacks because of ignorance of the this  fact.

If we have sin in us, even if it is hidden to our conscience, satan gets authority over us.

Job 6:24  “Instruct me, and I’ll remain silent. Help me understand where I’ve gone astray. 

Our hearts and minds should be always exposed to God so that Holy Spirit can convict us of our sins and when we acknowledge our sins and repent we receive forgiveness.

About 2 weeks ago I was trying to correct a sister since she was going out of the basic rules of ethics.

But she could not be convinced because she had been brought up with a wrong conscience. 

 1Co 4:4  For my conscience is clear, but that does not vindicate me. It is the Lord who examines me.

Paul says here, even if one’s own conscience does not accuse a person, he can not be justified.  When the Lord examines, He might see iniquity.  His eyes are more powerful than any camera.

His eyes penetrates every  single object in this world.

Heb 4:13  No creature can hide from him, but everyone is exposed and helpless before the eyes of the one to whom we must give a word of explanation. 

One of the reasons why  hidden sins exist in one’s  life can be  ignorance.  It is the basic requirement of modern society that everybody who wants to live a holy life should learn  the Commandments of God both in Old Testament and in New Testament  because violation of Commandment is sin.  

Heb 9:7  But only the high priest went into the second part, and then only once a year, and never without blood, which he offered for himself and for the sins committed by the people in ignorance.

Even when they are committed in ignorance they should be repented and forgiven.

Prayer:

Lord cleanse my conscience and let me have a sensitive, clear conscience .

Psa 66:10  For you, God, tested us, to purify us like fine silver. 

This verse says God will purify us by testing us and our intentions.

Our God will not thrust Himself on anyone. He wants human beings  to choose Him freely as a  loving  Father.

Pro 17:3  The crucible is for silver and the furnace for gold—but the LORD assays hearts. 

There is a reason why He assays human hearts.

Jer 17:10  I am the LORD who searches the heart, who tests the inner depths to give to each person according to what he deserves, according to the fruit of his deeds. 

Since He is our Creator, there is a purpose for creating each individual and sending them to this  world. He is monitoring each one’s heart and its intentions,  to reward each one at the end of our life on this earth, i.e. accepting us into His Kingdom.

Isa 48:10  Look, I have refined you, but not like silver; I have purified you in the furnace of affliction. 

Even when we rebel with God at times, He will bring us back after purifying us.  When  it is a whole nation, a nationwide purification becomes necessary.

Zec 13:9  And I will bring that surviving third through, testing them as if through fire, purifying them like silver, assaying them like gold. They will call on my name, and I will answer them. I will say, ‘This is my people,’ and they will say, “The LORD is my God.’

This purification  may manifest in the form of various kinds of sufferings for a particular period of time.  The Lord will give us the grace to bear them.

1Pe 1:6-7  You greatly rejoice in this, even though you have to suffer various kinds of trial for a little while,  so that your genuine faith, which is more valuable than gold that perishes when tested by fire, may result in praise, glory, and honor when Jesus, the Messiah, is revealed. 

Gold and silver are precious metals but they should undergo quality test by going through furnace. When one goes through sufferings, their intentions of heart will be revealed. Daniel proved it in the den of lions. Joseph proved it in the prison.  Satan wanted to test Job in his motive of serving God. His argument was Job served God for the abundant blessings he received from Him. If they are arrested, he will curse God and run away from Him. But Job proved Satan was wrong and sustained in his holiness.

Prayer

Lord test and find me worthy of serving you. Purify my intentions and motives so that I will become purer than gold.

Purification involves two processes washing and seeking justice. The Lord gave following verse on April 1.

Ephesians 5 : 26,27  that He (Christ) might sanctify and cleanse her with the washing of water by the word,   that He might present her to Himself a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but that she should be holy and without blemish.  (by giving Himself for the Church – vs 25)

Isaiah 1 : 16-18 “Wash yourselves, make yourselves clean; Put away the evil of your doings from before My eyes. Cease to do evil,  Learn to do good; Seek justice, Rebuke the oppressor; Defend the fatherless, Plead for the widow.

“Come now, and let us reason together, ”Says the Lord,“ Though your sins are like scarlet, They shall be as white as snow; Though they are red like crimson, They shall be as wool.

Process1. washing – Meditating and submitting to the word of God with Holy Spirit washes us. We leave evil.

Process 2. Seeking justice make us glorious- holy without blemish. We learn doing good. Because Jesus Christ is charged for sins of all generations, paid our debts till date and speaks through His blood to purify us from corruption in our gene.

Hence purification involves 2 processes- washing and seeking justice.

We should stop doing evil and start seeking justice.

How can we stop doing evil and start seeking justice?

Human heart is inclined to doing evil.

Jer 17:9  “The heart is more deceitful than anything. It is incurable—who can know it?

Nobody can know how a human heart changes, turns towards evil or good. But God has control over it. Bible says,

Pro 21:1  A king’s heart is a water stream that the LORD controls; he directs it wherever he pleases. 

Jer 17:10  I am the LORD who searches the heart, who tests the inner depths to give to each person according to what he deserves, according to the fruit of his deeds.  

Prayer

Lord search my heart, test my inner depths and cleanse it so that no evil comes out of it. Teach me to do justice.Amen

This comes as a confession from a sister.

Regarding  purification God speaks through Psalm 19:14 i.e. the Words of our mouth and the meditation of our heart to be acceptable in God’s sight.

God led me to a Vision of the “eyewash service” which I used to do along with so many Church attendees doing lip service every Sunday in Lord’s prayer

Mathew 6:10

“Your kingdom come. Your will be done On earth as it is in heaven.”

Never knew what was Gods Kingdom or ever had the Grace to seek His will for my life every day.

May the Lord forgive me.

I was clueless for 45 years and wasted 13 youthful years in bitterness and unforgiveness despite vain repetition of without heart and mind and soul being connected.

“And forgive us our debts, As we forgive our debtors.” ( Mathew 6:12)

Mathew 11:28-30 brought about a huge transformation in my life which brought the real meaning of God’s altar i.e. remaining rooted as dust at Gods feet before His throne of Grace which came out alive during morning worship and personal prayer ( Mathew 5:35) learning humility and gentleness from the Lord.

Another major thing which God taught is the Power of tongue.

God forces me to touch His feet with  my tongue ( seeking permission) before I open my mouth before any class or any conversation ( Ezekiel 3:27) guiding ( Exodus 4:12) /purifying ( cleansing) my speech with a burning coal from His altar ( Isaiah 6:5-7) ( lest my Words cause any hurt to anyone ) ensuring Jeremiah 1:9; Mathew 10:19-20, Luke 21:14-15.

Prayer:

Lord cleanse my tongue so that each word that comes out of my tongue will comfort and heal others. Amen.

Today The Lord gave John 17, never thought these verses are meant for the purification of our part in the fellowship we are directly related to!

Joh 17:17  “Sanctify them by the truth. Your word is truth. 

Joh 17:18  Just as you sent me into the world, so I have sent them into the world. 

Joh 17:19  It is for their sakes that I sanctify myself, so that they, too, may be sanctified by the truth.

Although it’s Jesus’ prayer to Father, these verses speak a beautiful summary of the responsibilities Jesus had with the souls given to Him and how He had been faithful to God and the souls given.

These verses helped me to analyse and submit myself for purification of the areas where I have been unfaithful to God and to the responsibilities I am given.

I realised that many a times, I have stood selfishly for myself, my spiritual growth etc., failing to look into the needs of the souls entrusted with  me.

I came to a realisation that it’s our responsibility to keep them safe and protected in the name of the Lord and not allowing them to get lost at any cost!

We should stand for the justice and support them to bring them out of their falls so that they enjoy the full measure of joy of Christ.

Jer 23:16  This is what the LORD of the Heavenly Armies says: “Don’t listen to the words of the prophets who are prophesying to you; they’re giving you false hopes. They declare visions from their own minds—they don’t come from the LORD! 

Jesus sanctified Himself that His disciples too may be sanctified. Sanctification is a sign of complete obedience to Truth. We through obedience become a channel of sanctification for the souls given to us.

As we take in ourselves the sufferings of Christ for the sake of souls given to us without complaining, we hold the glory in ourselves, that they also take part with us in eternal glory.

Bearing their weaknesses and ignorance (physical, emotional, spiritual, cultural social etc), reaching out to them in tender love, encouraging them and empowering them all come under this.

Lord, forgive me  for my irresponsibility towards the souls given to me. Help me in my efforts to sanctify them through sanctifying me every day.
