Daniel 2 Message-06.06.2023

Are we into Idolatry or some measure of it ?

Idolatry:

Keeping in place of God, the things other than God and serving them with complete devotion or commitment. They necessarily need not be statues but people, object, material thing, project etc

Are we into idolatry ?
Many of us may give a straight away answer No !
Yes true we may not be into total idolatry but there is a possibility of playing this sin to some measure of it.

As children of God,
We serve God with all our heart and soul,
We worship God in spirit.
When we worship God in spirit, we obviously mean, there is no activity of flesh involved.
That is……
As we worship in spirit, we offer our bodies as living sacrifice (zero flesh activity). – Romans 12 : 1

But if we haven’t mortified flesh through Spirit, our interests of flesh start manifesting while worshiping God, which at least play to some measure the sin of idolatry.

(NB: We know worship is not just about singing and speaking with God but it’s our life with God)

In our life with God and in our service to God, we may prioritise something other than God, may it be family, spouse, children, spiritual leader, ministry activity, profession, talent etc.
Instead of being a priest of God, we become self consumed priest to serve and worship self interests unknowingly.

Idolatry is not just the act of worshiping idol but it’s rather the act of worshiping self interests out of not mortifying flesh.

Galatians 5 : 19,20
Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness,
idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies,

The question is asked again now !
Are we into idolatry ? Or some measure of it?

Daniel 2 Message-05.06.2023

Greed – A Fearful Master

Greed is a strong and selfish desire to have more of something, most often money or power. There are many warnings in the Bible about giving in to greed and longing for riches. Jesus warned, “Watch out! Be on your guard against all kinds of greed; a man’s life does not consist in the abundance of his possessions” (Luke 12:15). “Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal… You cannot serve both God and money”

(Matthew 6:19, 24b).
Did Jesus pursue the acquisition of money?
No. On the contrary, He became poor for our sake (2 Corinthians 8:9) and had “no place to lay his head” (Matthew 8:20). Neither did Jesus pursue power. Rather, He instructed, “Whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant, and whoever wants to be first must be slave of all. For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many” (Mark 10:43–45).

How can I know if I’m greedy?

There are many signs of greed.
Before we look at these signs, let me warn you that we need to be careful to judge ourselves and not others (Matt. 7:1-5). It’s easy to apply this to others and to justify myself, but I need to remove the log from my own eye. If you think that another Christian is being deceived by greed, your responsibility is gently to seek to restore him (Gal. 6:1). But we each have to stand before God someday. So we need to face these matters personally and honestly on the heart level before Him.
Hence

Would You Call Yourself a Materialistic Person?

For example . .
How many items do you usually buy when you’re “window shopping” at the mall?
Do you need what you buy, or do you simply want it?
Do you have more “stuff’ than you have space in which to store it?
Does buying new clothes make you feel better? For how long?
Do you use cash or a credit card? Are your credit cards maxed out?
Will we ever be satisfied with what we have?
The answer is No if we are gripped in the vise of greed and its twin sister, materialism.
To be materialistic is to take interest exclusively, chiefly, or excessively in the material or bodily necessities and comforts of life.
To be greedy is to never have enough.

Is it possible to be a believer and a materialist at the same time?
Yes, most definitely. But it’s not possible to be a committed, growing believer with divided priorities:
Money is God’s great rival for our hearts. Jesus said, “No man can serve two masters. Either he will hate the one and love the other or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and Money” (Luke 16:13).

The love of money and the things it can buy makes us greedy for more, no matter how much we have. As Scripture teaches us, “Whoever loves money never has money enough; whoever loves wealth is never satisfied with his income” (Eccles. 5:10).
Have you noticed that we’re talking about a love affair with money?
Love of money will impede our growth to maturity because it keeps us from loving God with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength. Greed results in displacing the One who has the right to be King on the throne of our lives. That’s why greed is called “idolatry” in Colossians 3:5.

Here’s a standing and perfect example in the Bible what greed can lead to
A King Who Wanted More
Ahab, king of Israel, had just about everything but character, and he was married to a woman who was even worse than he was, Jezebel. He was very wealthy. He had one entire palace inlaid with ivory. And he had another palace in Jezreel. One day as he looked out the window of his Jezreel palace he saw a vineyard that he thought would make a nice vegetable garden for himself. The only problem was it belonged to someone else, a man named Naboth.

Here’s what the story enfolds

“Ahab said to Naboth, ‘Let me have your vineyard to use for a vegetable garden, since it is close to my palace. In exchange I will give you a better vineyard or, if you prefer, I will pay you whatever it is worth” (1 Kings 21:2-3).

Naboth refused to sell because he was obedient to God’s instructions about the land. When Israel first took possession of the land, every family received their plot of ground. The land could never be permanently sold and was to remain in that family’s possession forever. But instead of respecting Naboth’s reasons for not selling, look what Ahab did:

“Ahab went home, sullen and angry because Naboth the Jezreelite had said, ‘I will not give you the inheritance of my fathers’ He lay on his bed sulking and refused to eat” (1 Kings 21:4).

Real mature, wasn’t he?

But he demonstrates something we all do. He focused on what he didn’t have. Ahab expressed no gratitude for all his wealth, his power, or his palaces. Instead, he lay on his bed sulking and fasting in protest for not getting his way.

How do you react when you don’t get what you want?

Maybe you want to redecorate the bedroom, order new carpet or furniture, but your husband isn’t ready for that. Maybe he’s saying no because you’re over the limit on all your credit cards. Or it may be that he just doesn’t agree with you about the need for such things. Maybe he’s tight with money. Whatever the reason, your reaction is your responsibility.
Do you shop around and find the best prices and show him how much you’ll save by doing some things yourself? Do you pray and tell the Lord you are willing to wait for His timing? Or do you nag, sulk, and give your husband the silent treatment?

Ahab sulked and fasted long enough to irritate Jezebel, who is a perfect example of what a wife shouldn’t be. When she found out about Naboth’s refusal to give up his vineyard, she came up with a plot to get Naboth murdered. And because she was queen, her plan worked perfectly.

“When Ahab heard that Naboth was dead, he got up and went down to take possession of Naboth’s vineyard” (1 Kings 21:16).

Rampant greed led to the murder of an innocent man and the confiscation of his property. But God had seen it all. Elijah the prophet met Ahab when he went to take possession of Naboth’s vineyard, and he pronounced God’s punishment upon Ahab for what he and Jezebel had done. His grim prophecy predicted that dogs would lick up the couple’s blood and that God would wipe out their descendants from the face of the earth—the worst imaginable curse for an Israelite. God already had a great deal against Ahab and Jezebel, but their greed-inspired brutality against Naboth was the last straw.

Thus we all have to
Be content – as greed is a snare. Greed is the foundation for destruction. If I must have a future on earth and an eternity with God, I must embrace CONTENTMENT.
There is no destiny for the greedy and there is no future for the covetous.

Prayer

O LORD, I thank You for Your Word to me today. Uproot every root of greed and covetousness from my life and baptize me LORD with the spirit of contentment,
Lord God, I pray that you Grant me the grace to bask in my contentment. Give me the grace to set my focus on the things that you have done with the hope and assurance that you will still do the things I have always looked unto you for, in the name of Jesus.

Daniel 2 Message-04.06.2023

Proverb 9:10

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom and the knowledge of the Holy one is understanding

The path of wisdom is Peace according to Proverb 3:17- 19

We know that all those who have wisdom will be like a tree of life. For us God is Wisdom. When we are all filled with His spirit He Takes control of our life. As we read more and more of His word his presence starts abiding us. It cleanses and gives a pure life. It gives joy and Consolation for those who suffer in life according to Jer 15:16

In this earth the love of The Father is incomparable. When the Child makes a mistake he scolds him, get angry, but the next moment he forgives his child. Like a child we also make many mistakes, but we have an eternal father who forgave our sins, inequities. The love of a Heavenly Father is much greater than the love of a earthly father

According to Heb 10:38 and Heb 11:6 faith it is in possible to please Him. But without faith it is impossible to please him.

Testimony:

I had a severe pain in my right leg from knees to foot & cannot bend backwards. I took newest medicine but all goes in vain. But when I prayed in tears and faith, God healed me with a miracle. All praise and glory to God Almighty

Prayer

Loving Heavenly Father, we bow down to the throne of grace. You are our refuge and Stronghold in the day of trouble. Lord we Surrender at your feet, give us your divine peace. Sanctify with your blood, forgive our sin. I ask this prayer in Jesus mighty name Amen.

Daniel 2 Message-03.06.2023

GOD CONSCIOUS REBORN SPIRIT.

God encourages us to cast our burdens upon the Lord.He will sustain us because he sustains the  whole Universe by his WORD.

Psalm 55:22—-    Says- He’ ll never let the Righteous fall.

1Peter 5:7 ——Cast all your cares upon the him for he cares for you. It means cast every worry, fear and anxiety upon him. But first and most important thing is to SURRENDER your life completely to him ; then we become his Personal Property.

  • A  : 2Tim 1 : 12 God is only able to keep that which is committed to him
  • B  : MEDITATE ON HIS WORD:Psalm 1: 3–Says ;Those who do it would be like a tree planted by the rivers ,he shall bear fruit in his season and his leaf shall never wither. It brings health to his body and whatever he does will prosper.
  • C. BRlNG YOUR THOUGHTS INTO     CAPTIVITY.  :–  2 Cor 10: 3-5. Says:–.     “Though we live in the world we do not war after the flesh. The weapons of our warfare are not carnal but they have devine power to demolish all the demonic strongholds. “.

To demolish such strongholds of the enemy ,use the Word of God as the SWORD OF THE SPIRIT, and fight against the fear 2 Timothy 1: 7. Keep on doing it. It is God given solution.

And if we confess the Word aloud the strongholds of the enemy will come down and you will be free.

The HEALING PEACE comes to us only through the constant love for God’s Word. God wants his people to be completely free from every Physical,  Mental , Emotional and Spiritual problem.                           ..

Then the ETERNAL life is restored so we are Born Again and the HOLY SPIRIT comes to live in us. The greatest Mistry that the gentile world does not know is.  :-     JESUS CHRIST THE HOPE OF GLORY IN US. Some people are unaware of this fact hence there’s no spiritual growth in them .They do not know that there’s Power in the Word of God to heal , transform and even raise the dead.

Eph 4: 23 “— Be made new in the attitude of your mind, put on the new self created to be like God in true Holiness and Righteousness. Do not grieve the Holy Spirit with whom we are sealed for the Day of Redemption. When he Ascended he gave spiritual gifts and daily loads us with benefits.

PRAYER:

Thank you Lord for giving us gifts of Holy Spirit and Salvation. We praise you, worship you and glorify you. Amen.

TOWARDS VICTORY II

He answered to Joshua “I am here, as a Commander of the Lord’s Army” Jos 5:1a

After reaching Canaan, God asked Joshua to do two important things.

  • To circumcise all men folks in the Camp.
  • To observe pass over.

These are to be done from their part to purify themselves Thereafter, the Lord of Host will lead them to Victory, whenever they wage war against Canaan’s Kings. Without God, they can’t do anything. As God directed, they observed passover on the 14th day of the first month. The procedure of Passover is as follows. They should select a lamb/Sheep according to the size of the family. If it is a small family, they can observe with their neighbour. The lamb should be one year old and without any blemish. The whole congregation should strike the lamb at the same time and the blood should be applied on two side posts and on the upper door Post of the house, wherein they eat. The lamb should be roasted in fire and eaten with unleavened bread and bitter herbs. It should not be kept till morning. They should eat with loins girded, shoes on feet, staff in hands and eaten hastily. It is the Lord’s Passover. (Exo.12:1-13)

From this we understand that for deliverance, one should obey gods voice as such and be disciplined. Unity, integrity and faith in God are all the requirements needed. The flesh of our body longs to sit, relax and enjoy life. But, we Christians need to march forth with great speed, as life is like a shadow or an air bubble.

Jesus, the Lamb of God was slaughtered for our Redemption and salvation. So let us follow life’s journey, under the banner of Jesus and his blood.

Eph 6:10-16 Suggest us to put on the whole armor of God, so that we will be able to stand against the wills of the devil (11) and stand in the evil day (13). The armour of God are “Truth as belt, righteousness as breast plate, our shoes of readiness to announce the Good News and peace, “faith as shield”, “salvation as a helmet” and “word of God as the sword” which the Holy spirit gives us Let us do all these in prayer as seek Gods help

Witness:

Jesus is the best example who accomplished God’s plan on earth in every aspect. He redeemed us from the bondages of Satan. He directs, us the same path he walked to win the eternal glory.

Prayer:

We thank you Lord for the redemption and salvation, you gave us through cross. Give us strength to wear the armor of God and follow you towards victory Amen.

Daniel 2 Message-01.06.2023

“Finally ,brethren , whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report;if there be any virtue and if there be any praise, think on these things.”

Philippians 4:8

Our thinking is something we must take charge over.If we don’t it will control us.We need to focus on the positive rather than negative. We have to feed our minds with blessings from God and the good things We can find in our lives or situations. We have to think about what is true rather than the lies satan put in us to believe. We have to dwell on what is noble and right, so our actions will follow our thoughts . We have to feed our minds with whatever is pure, lovely, admirable, excellent or praiseworthy. It will help us to stay focused on God’s love for us and Christ’s sacrifice for us.In this verse Apostle Paul encourages the Philippians to right living. He made a list covering everything good, positive, biblical and godly.

Our focus of life, Our thought process should be Jesus,His voice,His word, work, influence and spirit.Jesus’s thought focuses on God the Father. So if we focus on Jesus, our thoughts will  also be like that of  God.

2Corinthians10:5 “casting down imaginations, and every high thing that explains exalteth itself against the knowledge of God,and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ .”

We need to be wise, humble, joyful, truthful, gentle, diligent and loving. Our thinking pattern should not conform to the patterns of  this world . Our pattern should shift from falsehood to truth, evil and negativity to goodness and positivity, dishonesty to honesty and integrity, injustice to justice.

If our focus is on Jesus, then what all things we think, speak and do will relate back to Him.Paul here reminds us that we have to meditate on God not only in our quite times but all the time and thank Him always. (1Thessalonians 5:16,-18) We find our direction, strength and success in Him. As human beings we can’t do it ourselves .We need God’s grace and power. That is why God gifted us with the Holy Spirit. What we learned, received.,heard, seen in Christ, our mentors, fore fathers of faith, we need to practice it in our daily life. Then God will give us peace and well-being.our mind should be saturated with good thoughts, the thoughts of God

Heavenly Father we want to  focus on the locus of our life, Jesús Christ. We need your power and strength to do that .kindly give us the grace to do that.We ask in Jesus name,Amen

Daniel 2 Message-31.05.2023

How  TO PASS LIFE’S TEST

Jeremiah 11:20

Jeremiah tells that God tests our hearts, emotions, and thinking powers.

Every time God gives us a test,we can tell how far we have come and how far we still have to go by how we react in that test.

Attitudes of the heart that we did not know we had often come out through tests and trials.

When we want to test something, how do we do it? We put pressure on it to see what it will do what it says it will do;we look to see if it will hold up the stress. God does the same thing with us. When we pray, asking him to use us and put you into positions of leadership, his answer is,“Let Me try you out first. Let me put you to the test.”

We know many people never make it past the trying point. They never pass the test. They spend their whole lives going around and around the same problem going up and down on  mountains. But in God’s school we do not flunk;we get to keep taking test again and again until we pass it.

To test something means to prove its truth and genuineness by an experiment,a trial,or an examination. It also means to compare something against a standard. One of the ways God tests us is by requiring us to manifest what we say we know. Our own knowledge alone is not enough. If we cannot manifest what we say we know then our knowledge means nothing.

Deuteronomy 8:2 says that God led Israelites in the wilderness for forty years to humble them, to prove them, and to see if they would keep his commandments.Tests usually do not come in good times. They come in hard times because not everything God asks us to do is going to be easy. That is why he tests us to see if we are ready and able before he promotes us to a higher level of responsibility.

James 1:2-4 says that tests bring out what is in with us. In times we become best acquainted with ourselves  and with what we are capable of doing. Peter did not think he would ever deny Jesus, but when he was put to the test, that is exactly what he did (see Luke 22:60-62). God is not impressed with what we say we will do ; He is impressed with what we prove we will do under pressure. We do not get promoted in ministry because we have our Bible underlined in two colours. We are raised up in life and ministry because we have been tested and tried, and we have passed out tests.

Let us pray

Father your ways are not our ways, increase our trust on your word ,it does not matter what we are going through now your protection is always with us .Amen

Daniel 2 Message-30.05.2023

For God so loved the world that He gave His only Begotten son, that whoever believes in Him should not Perish but have ever lasting life.”

                  John 3:16

God has made the method of salvation so simple that everyone can obtain it. If you choose to believe in Jesus, God will be your Father and you will become His beloved child and be part of His heavenly and everlasting kingdom. The sacrifice of Jesus was the only way for God to bring us back to Him, because our sin  separates us. But Jesus was willing to take our sin, to serve our sentences and He died for that on the cross. Everyone that chooses to believe in Him are thereby justified, saved and become true Christians. God then  sees you through Jesus and you are without any sin or guilt from His point of view.  It is a free gift from God to each of us. This is the amazing Grace, the innocent one was sacrificed to justify the guilty ones.

” But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name.”

                  John 1: 12

Every person has the right to know the consequence of turning away from God. It has to be told that God is a beloved Father for all those who receive Jesus as the saviour, but it also has to be told that the one that turns away from Him, will one day meet Him as the judge. At that point there will be no second chance, no possibility for repenting. The Gospels in the Bible speaks about two  alternative outcomes after death, God’s kingdom or a place of hopelessness  and suffering.

Jesus said, ” Do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. But rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.”

        Matthew 10 : 28

The time you spend on this earth is not even the blink of an eye compared to eternity, yet what you choose to believe in this life determines your everlasting destiny.  It is your choice that determines where you will spend eternity. This is the most important decision you will ever have to make, so please consider it carefully.

” For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul.”

        Matthew 16 : 26

What does it take to become a Christian ?  Becoming a Christian is not about what you will do or what you shall achieve, but about what God has done and achieved for you. It is neither about how good  or how bad you have been,  what you have done in the past or how well you are feeling on the inside. You should come to Jesus just as you are. It is a simple choice and a matter of sticking to that choice no matter what.

” That whoever calls on the name of the Lord (Jesus) shall be saved.”

          The Acts 2 : 21

Jesus said, ” Come to me, all you who labour  and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.”

        Matthew 11 : 28

And, ” I have come to seek and to save that which was lost.”

           Luke 19 : 10

             Prayer

” Dear Jesus ! We are sorry for the things we have done wrong in our lives. We ask your forgiveness. Thank you for dying on the cross for us to set us free from our sins. Please come into our lives and fill us with your Holy Spirit and be  with us forever.  Thank you, Jesus, Amen.”

Daniel 2 Message-29.05.2023

Keeping thy words & our Action matters

Matthew 21:28-32

28 But what think ye? A certain man had two sons; and he came to the first, and said, Son, go work to day in my vineyard.

29 He answered and said, I will not: but afterward he repented, and went.

30 And he came to the second, and said likewise. And he answered and said, I go, sir: and went not.

31 Whether of them two who did the will of his father? They say unto him, The first. Jesus saith unto them, Verily I say unto you, That the publicans and the harlots go into the kingdom of God before you.

32 For John came unto you in the way of righteousness, and ye believed him not: but the publicans and the harlots believed him: and ye, when ye had seen it, repented not afterward, that ye might believe him.

Words are powerful. How we use our words are very important, choosing the right words employs our conduct.

Usage of words hastily weakens the heart. Pleasant words pacifies a angry person. We read the scriptures how beautifully had the psalmist draws his words wisely, if we look at the proverbs it depicts the practical wisdom.. Job portrays an excellent genre of poetry displaying Sovereign God’s omnipotence.

Here in this parable we learn that how keeping ours words are important in life, its not hearing and leaving instead its hearing and doing. Our Actions matters more.

The historical context of this parable says, Jesus was addressing the chief priests and elders who were questioning the authority by which he was preaching and teaching and performing His miracles. The leaders were angry because Jesus was exposing their sinful actions and false teachings. Jesus knew they were baiting him into their snare with their questions, so instead of answering them directly, he used this parable.

Its meaning was in regards to John the Baptist and by whose authority John had been preaching..

The leaders acknowledged that the son who initially told his father he wouldn’t help but eventually did help was the one who did what the father wanted. Jesus used the example to point out their hypocritical ways.

Jesus was comparing the church leaders to the son who said he would help his father, but then his actions spoke the opposite. The leaders acted reverently, but their words were hollow and meaningless. They knew John the Baptist was prophesying for God about Jesus, but they denied it because they were threatened by Jesus’ divine authority.

On the other hand, those who had originally dismissed John the Baptist as a fraud later came to believe that John was actually foretelling of the Messiah and those original doubters became followers. These were the ‘sinners’ of the time, such as prostitutes and tax collectors. In the parable, these are represented by the son who originally said ‘No’ to his father but then came to help after a change of heart. And those were (and are) the people who came to please God also, even after their original unbelief.

Through the parable,  the church leaders understood which son had actually pleased the father.  Jesus used the example to call them out on their own behavior as hypocrites, catching them in their own snare.

God has invited each of us to work in His vineyard – to follow Him and use our lives for His purpose. If we say Yes, our actions are what really matters…

If we say No, we can always choose to say Yes later. We are always welcome.

One of the beautiful things about God is his enduring grace, forgiveness, and love for His people. He doesn’t give up on us, even when our backs are turned to Him and we keep telling Him ‘No’. He patiently waits for the ‘Yes’. We are all His children, beloved and welcomed to join His Kingdom for eternity. He’s waiting with open arms and there’s room enough for all of us.

Prayer

Thankyou Lord for this valuable spiritual lessons learnt from this parable.. Help us to keep our words in actions .. Not to disobey your truth. Obedience is the fruit of salvation. Help us to be conformed always to your words. Amen.

Daniel 2 Message-28.05.2023

Enlarge Your Territories/ Boundaries

And Jabez called on the God of Israel saying, “Oh, that You would bless me indeed, and enlarge my territory, that Your hand would be with me, and that You would keep me from evil, that I may not cause pain!” So God granted him what he requested I Chronicles 4:10

It’s a very short prayer which brought results from the Lord. This prayer encourages us to a great extent and we wonder what’s so great in that prayer.

We understand that Jabez belonged to the tribe of Judah. His mother called him Jabez as his life was grief stricken from his infancy. What caused that grief, we don’t know. His mother says ” I bore him in pain” Perhaps his birth was so life-threatening to her,

We come to speculations that she was so sick at his birth or that she passed through severe grief. Whatever it might be, he caused grief to his mother. We find in Genesis 35: 17, 18

Now it came to pass, when she was in hard labor, that the midwife said to her, “Do not fear; you will have this son also.” And so it was, as her soul was departing (for she died), that she called his name Ben-Oni; but his father called him Benjamin.

Genesis 35:17‭-‬18
Rachel called her son Ben Oni , Son of Sorrow as his birth preceded her death. His father Jacob deliberately changed the name and called the child Benjamin which means Son of my right hand or strength.

So is the same with the name Jabez who prayed this fervent and earnest prayer and changed his destiny. When he prayed this prayer he too was in great distress. Situations were not conclusive for a comfortable life. He had brothers who might not have helped him much. He was so hard pressed due to lack of blessings. He went to the presence of Yahweh. In his distress and reproach he prayed to the God of Israel.
He prayed for

1. Blessings, the immediate need. He knew that God of Israel is the source of all blessings and goodness.

2.To expand his boundaries or his territories. God said to Abraham
I will make you a great nation; I will bless you And make your name great; And you shall be a blessing.

Genesis 12:2
A great family, a great nation and great blessings !! Everything, great and no lack. Abundance ! “The Lord is my Shepherd, I have no lack” No scarcity, as the territories are enlarged.

3.He sought the hand of God to be with him. Jesus is the hand of God that extended to man. Jesus was with the Israelites as the pillar of cloud and fire during the days and nights when they were passing through the wilderness. Jabez knew that without God he could do nothing.

Jesus said,
“Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me, for without Me you can do nothing”
John 15:4‭-‬5
He prayed for the presence of God in every phase of his life.

4.To keep him from all evil. He didn’t want to be a victim of evil powers. Jabez wanted protection from the attacks of the enemy and he prayed for deliverance from all wickedness

5.He should not be a cause of pain for anyone. That meant he should be a blessing for others. He earnestly wished to do good for others.
And God granted him all his requests.

These are the important blessings he sought and his prayers were according to the Word of God. He fervently prayed for these as he put his complete trust in the Lord. God’s eyes are looking for those who look forward to Him with total dependence.

Our peace and prosperity comes from the Lord. That’s not as the world gives. Our territories are enlarged with the grace of God. None can limit our boundaries when God works in our lives. Let’s earnestly pray to the Lord for blessings both Spiritual and physical. Seek His kingdom and all blessings will follow. Goodness and Mercy will follow us. We need not run after these. Remember to deliberately change your sorrow into blessings and honour by seeking God.

Bless the Lord, O my soul, And forget not all His benefits: Who forgives all your iniquities, Who heals all your diseases, Who redeems your life from destruction, Who crowns you with loving kindness and tender mercies, Who satisfies your mouth with good things, So that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.

Psalms 103:2‭-‬5

Prayer:

Loving Heavenly Father, we pray for your presence and protection in our lives. Bless us O Lord and enlarge our boundaries. Let grace from your boundless abundance make us Honourable among our brethren. Thank you Lord. In the name of Jesus we pray, Amen
