God’s warning
God spoke through the Prophet Joel that the Church would not retain her glorious gifts and power.Joel saw that the Palmer worm and the Caterpillar will strip and destroy the gifts and the TREE(Church) would slowly become barren.
Joel 1:7 says: “lt has laid waste my vines and ruined my fig tree, lt has stripped off their bark leaving their branches white”.
Jesus then sent His servant John to warn them. Rev 2:4,5 -“Nevertheless l have this against you, that you have forgotten your first love. Remember from where you have fallen; repent and do the first works,or else l will come and remove your lampstand.
The first works done by the Church are the miracles; John did. ** Jesus was calling the Church back to the anointing,blessings and power in which it was birthed. *The Perfect Fruit Destroyed: The Church did not pay attention to this call and back-slided and then Palmerworm appeared and as the years passed by gifts and fruits of the Spirit disappeared.
Very few miracles, deliverances and healings occurred . **Fruits like love,joy and peace were gone but the devastation did not stop. ** Where the Palmer worm left off, Locusts eaten–This was very sad because now the leaves were eaten without which the Tree would not survive. **
That which the Locusts had left,the Canker worm eaten ( Joel 1:4) Then the Holiness was lost. People departed from the God fearing walk in holiness and sin did not appear sinful anymore. People left the NARROW PATH to enjoy the Broad Path. The WORD Says What the Canker worm left, was eaten by the Palmer worm. Then the trunk and roots began to decay, as a result The’ Holy Spirit left’ and to live without the Holy Spirit for a church is to live without lifebreath.Like a tree without leaves and life giving sap. The perfect Tree, the church lost glory,power and Holy spirit.
She entered into the DARK AGES.The Face of Sun of righteousness was eclipsed. Jesus is the ‘Light of the world’ but church lost the awareness of sin, presence of Jesus i.e.Atonement through His Blood.And things were restored gradually because what is impossible with man is possible with God. Amen
PRAYER
**Gracious heavenly Father we thank you ,praise you for restoring things again according to your will and sending your son Jesus our Lord to forgive and save the world .Amen
