Psalm 92:12 The righteous shall flourish like a palm tree, He shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon. (NKJV).

Here in this verse the righteous is said to flourish like the palm tree. Who are the righteous?

Psalm 119:172 for all your commandments are righteousness.

The righteous are people who have accepted Christ by faith as their Lord and Saviour and seek to live according to God’s word, His standard. The Palm Tree grows as tall as 200 feet in height, stands tall and upright. The tallest palm tree in the world is in the Colombian Andes in Los Nevados National Park in the Cocora Valley.

The psalmist is stating that the righteous will stand tall. A palm tree could live from 7 to 10 decades and have a long life and it bears fruits even in old age. Palm trees take time, nearly five to eight years, as they mature and bear fruit but after that there is a great increase in productivity. The psalmist says like the palm tree, the righteous also bear fruit even in old age.

To produce spiritual fruit a believer has to spend time in prayer, be rooted in the word of God, such a person will stand upright. The Hebrew root meaning of Cedar is “to be firm”. The cedar can grow 100 feet tall and is a noble tree, has long life even up to 100 years, it is resilient and resistant to decay. Cedar trees have roots that can grow up to 20 metres into the ground.

Solomon used cedar to build God’s temple (1 Kings 7:2-3), cedars of Lebanon have significant value in the Bible. Cedar trees have a beautiful red colour and are symbolic of prestige and royalty. King David used cedars to build his house (2 Sam 7:2).

Psalm 104:16 The trees of the LORD are full of sap, The cedars of Lebanon which He planted. Cedars are compared to the planting of the Lord. The smell of the wood is powerful to repel any kind of insects. Cedars barks are used for making perfumes, it has a spicy, aromatic smell. God is expecting us to be strong in Christ, like Lebanon’s Cedars, resistant to whatever goes around in our circumstances and be uninfluenced by this world. Being rooted in the word of God can make us grow tall and be anchored so that when the storms of life hit, we will be unshaken. We cannot be decayed by the ways of this world, we must be aware that we are royalty, representatives of the Kingdom of God, King’s children and portray the King’s culture.

We are expected to spread the sweet aroma of our Lord Jesus through our life and impact this world. Let us strive to flourish like a palm tree and grow like Lebanon’s cedar by God’s grace and the exceeding power of the Holy Spirit, in Jesus mighty name!!!

Nothing can be hidden from our Living and Loving God

We are all living in a world of deception, fast moving and changing world which is full of new technologies, innovations and Artificial intelligence as the latest_

But our Living and Loving God is the one who knows each of us and this world from inside out.
This world and sometimes we believers and True Followers also adapt to the worldly ways and try to hide the things from God considering HIM to be very busy and occupied with taking care of the world and population of 789 crores out of which we Indians are 150 crores in India which is nearly 18% of world’s population.

But our Almighty knows each of these 789 crores by name and even what is inside the heart of each of them.

As per Psalms139 – it is impossible to hide anything from our God.

Do we ever try to be like David who was man after God’s heart – close to Him and in spite of his adultery and sin – He was forgiven when he repented truly_

Let us strive to be like David who as per
Acts13:22 – And when he had removed him, he raised up unto them David to be their king; to whom also he gave testimony, and said, I have found David the son of Jesse, a man after mine own heart, which shall fulfill all my will and

1Samuel13:14 – You have not kept the command the LORD your God gave you; if you had, he would have established your kingdom over Israel for all time. But now your kingdom will not endure; the LORD has sought out a man after his own heart and appointed him ruler of his people, because you have not kept the LORD’s command was considered and declared as a man after God’s own heart_

David used to ask God if he should go ahead as directed by God in every circumstance when he used to ask for directions_

Let us stop using our Long years of experience and mindset and give it into HIS Hands who is Alpha and the omega and master over all things_

Our God NEVER forces us what He wants
But gave us free will to choose as we desire as per the Living words_
Deuteronomy 30:15-16
“See, I have set before you today life and good, death and evil, in that I command you today to love the LORD your God, to walk in His ways, and to keep His commandments, His statutes, and His judgments, that you may live and multiply; and the LORD your God will bless you in the land which you go to possess.

It has been told very clearly to us in Ephesians 1:4 – Even before he made the world, God loved us and chose us in Christ to be holy and without fault in his eyes.
So let us now not even try to hide from our Living and Loving God as his plans and will are perfect_

In John5:1-9 we see Jesus went to heal a paralyzed invalid man near the Sheep
Gate – A Pool after asking him if he wants to get well_
In John5:5 it says he was invalid for 38 years_ How old was Jesus at that time – 30-33 years
Right….?
How does know that he is invalid for 38 years_
Jesus was watching him from heaven and knew that on his visit to Jerusalem HE will heal him at the pool by asking him to pick up his mat and walk_

Wow !

What an amazing GOD we serve_

Let us believe that there is a perfect ordained plan of our Living and Loving God which will come to pass at the perfect time as mentioned in Psalms139:16 – Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.

HE is so loving as per Psalms56:8 – You keep track of all my sorrows. You have collected all my tears in your bottle. You have recorded each one in your book.

Just remember that HE has asked us to be still in Exodus14:14
HE is fighting out battles and NO ONE can ever win over HiM_

Just be open in prayers and don’t try to hide anything from our Living and Loving God for HE has ordained BEST for us – We only need to have unwavering faith and Trust on HiM and HiS plans for us
