Jehovah Jireh – the Lord who provides
”Therefore, since through God’s mercy we have this ministry, we do not lose heart.“
2 Corinthians 4:1
Because I have received Grace through the ministry you have given me I will not be dismayed.
See the thing about ministry is that you need to know that it’s God’s Ministry of reconciliation you’re doing.
It is like you do all the hard work for your children ,you sleep less ,you work more, you save a lot of money. You save a lot of time to spend with your children to equip them with good education to teach him good manners, you provide fund for higher education put investments for higher returns so you can plan your children’s future, their marriage etc
If a short visioned human like us plan much ahead, the Lord is God. He’s the Alpha and Omega, who has planned every thing for us Even before the creation of the world. He is called us by our names. Even when we were not even formed in the womb of our mother, even when our bones are not formed ,He has known us , planned and written about us in this book.
This is all pure Grace nothing but Grace. Grace is something like a gift given to unworthy person.
So look how the creator God wanted us to prosper, shine, do the Ministry of reconciliation every soul to God himself like how Jesus reconciled us with God, 2 cor 5-, 18,19.
Jehovah Jireh – the lord who provides.
God provided all what Jesus required throughout his life in this world from birth to his death. At birth, we see kings from the east, giving expensive gift to the Lord God in the manger.
God knew that the carpenter( Joseph )cannot provide it for His son. So He has organised expensive gift which is required for his son Jesus his lifetime. Jesus did not want to ask anything for his ministry, God provided. This explains the verse” The Lord is my shepherd, and I shall not want”.
In another instance, many believers ladies Ministered to Jesus when Jesus was travelling.
When Jesus was fasting in the wilderness and tested by satan, God provided Angels to minister to Jesus
When they had to pay taxes, he asked Peter to get gold coin out of the fish mouth to pay his tax and others
Jesus blessed the food and the heavens provided food for 5000 in one instance and another instance, 6000 men. Jesus is the blessing to the world.
God has provided so much for us, but we may not understand it. When we see through the natural eyes. We may be eating from the tree of good and evil. It is Satan’s trick to make us see through the natural eyes. So we don’t appreciate what the heavenly blessings that Jesus has provided already on us in our ministries . satan tricks us to see money requirement to do Ministry ( lie) .
Hence he is creating fear and anxiety which is the act of unbelief. This is the same trick. He played on Adam and Eve. He tricked them to think that they will want more in a perfect world where there was no need for anything else. Perfect wife, perfect outfit, perfect world, perfect climate, perfect Authority, perfect food, health etc. Yet satan tricked them.
Today, rather than seeing what we don’t have to do the Ministry of re-consolation, which God has given unto us to do in this world. Let’s act on faith, be calm, composed and start working up the Troop Church , Gift schools, the shadow system in our workplace and in our institute constituencies . Let’s see the infinite wealth. God has provided through Jesus Christ over us for our Ministry and receive with thankfulness. Amen
