Daniel 2 Message 02.07.2023

For sin shall no longer be your master, because you are not under the law, but under grace.

Romans 6:14

Recently God explained me the above verse clearly by a servant of God whom God used mightily for his Kingdom.

“Sin shall not be your master” in other words if I am under his complete grace, sin has no power over me.

If I am under grace “ Anger has no power or control over me”

If I am under grace “ Lust has no power or control over me”

If I am under grace “ Pride has no power or control over me”

If I am under grace “ Sin has no power or control over me”

If we find sin un us, we should understand that we are not under His complete Grace. In the current world we have various definitions of Grace and prosperity Gospels preached in the name of Grace. But the right definition of Grace is the power or guidance or the counsel given by God to overcome sin , because if we are under Grace sin has no power over us or cannot reign over us.

This is the grace God wants and eager to give us only when we ask Him. If I ask for a house or a promotion at job, good health or all the things of the world and get it from God, do I say I got the grace of God?

No, I certainly not because if I ask his grace to overcome sin which I am struggling to overcome or still reigning in my life and overcome it I am under the grace of God. The rest is all given to me just like a bonus even if I ask or I don’t ask.  Because I live a overcoming life without sin, a holy life which is what God wants and rest assured every other thing is taken care in my life by God.

We can see this in the life of our Saviour Lord Jesus Christ.  When Jesus came to the world He came down from all glory and riches and He came as human flesh and blood humbling Himself. When he was raised in an ordinary family in this word without any riches or luxury He humbled Himself. When he was not liked by his family members or his village He humbled Himself. When he was under arguments and not liked by Pharisees and Sadducees He humbled Himself and did not argue or sin. But when He was to die on the cross He knew the physical pain and the shame He has to go through and He had a struggle to undergo it.

During the days of Jesus’ life on earth, he offered up prayers and petitions with fervent cries and tears to the one who could save him from death, and he was heard because of his reverent submission. Hebrews 5:7

Our savior cried for the grace of God through The Holy Spirit to be humble at the sufferings and shame and carry out this final task without any sin because if He failed with even one sin all that He would have done in this world will be wasted.

And being found in appearance as a man,
    he humbled himself
    by becoming obedient to death—
even death on a cross! Philippians 2:8

“Even the death on a cross” the pain and suffering no human have ever encountered or with shame no human have ever been treated. The glorious God mistreated, cursed, spat upon, laughed and mocked at, made naked at the cross in front of all. Our Lord Has to humble Himself to the lowest any human being has done and He did it by the grace of God to overcome sin to complete the task given to Him.

Today let us examine ourselves, am I living a overcoming life without sin or am I struggling to let go of my ego(pride) or anger or envy or lust or any sin which maynot be outward but in the inwards in the heart. If so let us ask his grace to overcome it as

“If I am under His complete grace, sin has no power or control over me”
