Wrong marriage alliance can ruin one 

Now Jehoshaphat had great riches and honor, and he made a marriage alliance with Ahab. 

2 Ch 18:1 

In the old Testament we see many incidents where people who were walking in the straight path of the Lord all of a sudden tumble down because of marriage alliances. One of them is Jehoshaphat.

Bible testifies him with many good testimonies but he deviated from the path of the Lord because of the marriage allaiance.

During the time of Rehoboam the Kingdom of Israel was split into two.

The Kingdom of Judah with Jerusalem as the capital

The Kingdom of Israel with Samaria as the capital.

Jeroboam the rebel was the first ruler of  Israel  Kingdom .

Among the two, God was with Judah because they retained the real worship of God. Israel made two calves and placed them in Bethel and were worshipping them.

David -> Solomon -> Rehoboam -> Abija -> Asa  ->Jehoshaphat. 

The Lord kept His people exclusively in His worship and He always insisted on one thing. .

“I am the LORD your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of slavery. “You shall have no other gods before me. I am the Lord your God. You should not make any idols or other Gods to go before you. 

EX 20:2-3

The marriage alliance with Ahab, the Lord’s enemy, was the trap set for king Jehoshaphat  by satan. 

Even today, the people of God without wisdom go after money power, riches, wealth, fame in marriage alliance and loses eternal life.

One of my friends who studied in the same College  with me was from a God fearing family and had many  siblings. . Her father sought an alliance for her from a very rich family. Later he was blessed by the Lord to attain a very high position in the nation.  But they failed to bring up their children in the fear of God and her daughter got married to an idol worshipper. Even they insisted to have the marriage in a temple before an idol, saying, “We have only one son. His descendants should worship our God”.

She was ashamed to invite her  siblings  for the wedding of her daughter. She showed me the photo wedding photo where the bride groom stands half naked without upper dress as per their religious custom.

God called Abraham His friend, because He knew that Abraham will bring up His descendants in the fear of God.

Gen 18:18,19  seeing that Abraham shall surely become a great and mighty nation, and all the nations of the earth shall be blessed in him?   For I have chosen him, that he may command his children and his household after him to keep the way of the LORD by doing righteousness and justice, so that the LORD may bring to Abraham what he has promised him.”

There are quite a lot of differences between the words Believers and Servants. Believers who are faithful do not merely say that they believe but take part in the actions and responsibilities of what they believe as being the Servants of that belief

 God wants everyone to be saved, it is a responsibility of every believer to share the gospel with every person they come in contact with. Everyone who is alive has the chance of making it to heaven if we zealously share our faith with them. The Bible tells us to do the following, the responsibility of each and every believer,

“Be my witnesses” (Acts 1:8)

“Do the work of an evangelist” (2 Timothy 4:5).

“Go and make disciples of all nations” (Mathew 28:19)

You are saved to save. One of our prime responsibilities is to assist the creation to fulfill God’s command, to rule, as a steward so that the creations of the world including animals, plants and resources are fruitful and multiply.

Testimony

 Few days back, I had distanced myself from taking on new responsibilities, so I can have some free time. But as days went by, I felt frustrated, got angered often, it was like being pulled by the things which are not of God. The Holy Spirit made me realise it quickly and I committed myself again to do what He has trusted me with, which made me more happier than before to serve our Lord.

Sometimes people refuse to accept new responsibilities, seeing the surrounding situations and saying let us be normal believers, we don’t want any special postings or duties in Christ. When we are given a responsibility, it is entrusted with us by God alone. To be a partaker is not what is granted as a choice for us to make, but a necessity to which we are obliged (1 Corinthians 9:16)

As we read in the book of Esther 4:13-16, we are given the responsibility to save our family, our surroundings, our people, our nation, and our world we live in. This is the time for us to act swiftly like what Esther had done then laying her life for the sake of her people she was entrusted with, she was responsible for

Prayer

Arise O Soldiers! Humble Servants of Jesus! Take the responsibility for your own family, for your own constituency, for your own people. What a joy it is to stand and address the Royal Army of God.

Your loving kindness is better than life, My lips shall praise You. Psalm 63:3

 How beautiful is this verse that without God’s Mercies we are nothing, that’s why God says My mercies are new every morning, because as a human being we continue to sin knowingly or unknowingly because God’s knows us very well that we are nothing but a mere human being. As for me when I am saved by the Lord during my early days with the Lord, I always wonder how God forgives and forgets all my sins, and how my God loves me just same everyday. As scripture says Hebrew 13:8 Jesus Christ is same yesterday today and forever more. Thank God for God Himself is our Father

Isaiah 54:10 For the mountains shall depart And the hills be removed, But My kindness shall not depart from you, Nor shall My covenant of peace be removed,” Says the LORD, who has mercy on you. Just read this verse and meditate upon it. As we do we will understand the Heart of God. How loving and kind our Father is. His love never fails and his kindness will not depart. Let us continue to rest upon the Word of God.

Testimony

One of the incident I want share with you. One of the Sister called me and asked me to write the message for this month but I started to delay and completely forgot about that but again I received a call from another Sister then I started to feel guilty because I delayed the work of the Lord and who am I that God should wait upon me, I started to repent and this verse became so real and alive in my life how beautiful it is “Thy loving kindness is better than life.” and my lips started to praise God. That is how we experience God’s love and Kindness everyday in every little thing. Without His kindness we are nothing and His Mercies are new every morning. Hallelujah!

Now As we receive and experience the Mercies of God in our lives remember to show His mercies that we experienced to others too. “Be merciful, just as your Father is merciful.” Luke 6:36. Never fail to show kindness to others. Always be kind and loving to others.

Let’s pray Heavenly Father God, I thank you and praise you for your Love and endless Mercies upon me. Develop the character of your Love and kindness in me too.

Transformation from Saul to Paul but am I still Saul….???

We all have heard about the transformation of Paul from a prosecutor to an apostle of Jesus Christ. Today I am going to talk about “The Saul” in me though I am a believer.

Saul was a persecutor as per Acts8:3 which says he made havoc of the church, entering every house, and dragging off men and women, committing them to prison. In Acts7:58-59 – We see that Stephan was stoned to death in the presence of Saul.

And again in Acts 9:1-2 it says Saul, still breathing threats of murder against the disciples of the Lord, went to the high priest and asked letters from him to the synagogues of Damascus, so that if he found any belonged to ‘the Way ‘whether men or women, he might bring them bound to Jerusalem.

But in Acts9:4 – He fell to the ground and heard a voice say to him, ” Saul Saul why do you persecute me?“. We see his encounter with Jesus where Jesus did not appear before him but Saul heard the voice of Jesus. Normally it is told easily that Saul was turned to Paul on encounter with Jesus on his way to Damascus. But to my surprise in Acts 9:5,7 and 8, I found him 2 still as Saul, Then again in 9:11 he is still Saul of Tarsus, then in 9:17 he is still addressed as ‘brother Saul’ by Ananias Again in 9:22 – Yet Saul grew more and more powerful and baffled the Jews living in Damascus by proving that Jesus is the Christ, but still Saul. In 9:24 – Saul becomes wise enough to learn the plan of his killing. He even spoke boldly for Jesus in Jerusalem but still as Saul

In Acts11:25 and Acts11:30 – Saul is being talked about but not as Paul, and again in Acts 12:25 continues to be Saul. Finally in Acts13:2 and13:7, is Saul who is ‘also called Paul’

After so much searching within me, Holy Spirit made me realise that I am also Saul and I am persecuting Jesus.

Surprised at my findings???

Let me explain-Saul was not alone

Proof

Stephen was stoned to death in his presence by people; as per Acts 9:3, as Saul neared Damascus on his journey, suddenly a light from heaven flashed around him, blinded him and he had to be led by people into Damascus.

As per Acts9:9 – For three days he was blind, and did not eat or drink anything

What was he doing….???

As per Acts9:11 – The Lord told Ananiasto go search for Saul who was praying and how he had to suffer for Jesus’ name(Acts 9:16) So, if I am not praying and thanking the Lord everyday as per 1 These 5:17&18 am I not persecuting Jesus? If I am getting pleasure in gossiping every day, again I am persecuting my Loving God – Need to change myself.

Changing my attitude, thought, behaviour and activities requires checking myself every day.(Romans 12:2) So I realised that many a times I become Saul and persecute my Lord and Saviour – Jesus Christ. As it is my Spiritual food – I need to prioritise and study the word of God every day for His presence, to fulfil His promise and assurance in my life as per Hebrews13:5

Striving to become from Saul to Paul is an everyday process. To increase my Faith and Trust in this fallen world it is needed so that I am lifted up during rapture and not like the foolish virgins who were without adequate oil and missed out the arrival of the bridegroom.

When king David days drew near that he should die, He called Bathsheba the queen to come into the kings presence, so she came and stood before the king . And the king took an oath and said, “As the LORD lives, who has redeemed my life from every distress,just as I swore to you by the LORD God of Israel, saying, ‘Assuredly Solomon your son shall be king after me, and he shall sit on my throne in my place,’ so I certainly will do this day.”

A good Leader should give a good leader after him as his Sucessessor, For King David when his time came for him to go the way the earth goes he carried out a act of appointing a new king after him to rule the people.

Now He calls to Zadok the priest, Nathan the prophet, and Benaiah, So they came before the king. The king also said to them, “Take with you the servants of your lord, and have Solomon my son ride on my own mule, and take him down to Gihon. There let Zadok the priest and Nathan the prophet anoint him king over Israel; and blow the horn, and say, ‘Long live King Solomon!‘ Then you shall come up after him, and he shall come and sit on my throne, and he shall be king in my place. For I have appointed him to be ruler over Israel and Judah.”Then Zadok the priest took a horn of oil from the tabernacle and anointed Solomon. And they blew the horn, and all the people said, “Long live King Solomon!”

He makes him known who are the people whom should go to grave with blood and without peace, today it’s very important for us to know our enemy, it is important for us kill the enemy that is satan, it is better to began the day with the praying like how Joyce Meyer would pray every saying I make the the plans of enemy upside down in the name of JESUS

INSTRUCTION 03 : SHOW GRATITUDE

He teaching to show gratitude to the person who showed kindness to him, so it important for us to be grateful to the people who have been good to us to the best possible of our ability.

PRAYER

Dear LORD, we thank you for the instructions which are written for us in your word give us the Heart to obey them all, to walk  in your status, to win the enemy, and to show gratitude to the one we grateful to. In JESUS name I pray.

“Trust In The Lord With All Your Heart, And Do Not Lean On Your Understanding. In All Your Ways Acknowledge Him, And He Will Make Straight Your Paths.”

PROVERB 3:5-6

At times we can’t figure things out on our own and have no answers and we must acknowledge Jesus as Lord of all the happenings of life. We are to trust God with all our hearts and not depend on what we know. It means to not to rely on ourselves and letting God take the helm of what He perfectly knows.

Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not evil, to give you a future and a hope.”

Lord declares that he has plans to prosper us and not to harm us, plans to give us hope and a future.

The TESTIMONY of my daughter Isha is given hereinbelow in her own words:

“Back in September 2014, I was preparing for some company’s interview and suddenly my dad forced me to sit for Microsoft’s placement drive which was the next day. I told my dad that I wasn’t prepared for such tough interview but he forced me to go for it. Next morning, I went to the college with just my bible because I had no time to prepare for that huge syllabus. My friends started to laugh at me as they were reading subject books whereas I was meditating on bible verses and praying.
Being unprepared and an average student at coding, completely trusting Lord Jesus I went for the interviews and then one after the other I cleared 7 interview rounds. Before entering any room, I used to pray for all my colleagues first, that God may give them fruit of their hard work. And as I kept praying for other, I was being blessed abundantly. By the end of the day, I was among those 10 shortlisted students out of 250. Moreover, it has been now 7+ years that I m working at Microsoft and I give all the glory to God for taking care of me through all the ups and downs of this journey too.”

1Chronicles 16:11 “Seek the Lord and his strength; seek his presence continually.”

We are renewed, refreshed and strengthened with might by His Spirit in us always. If we believe in him, he will never let us be ashamed, as this testimony shows. We should not speak evil, rather pray for one another.

PRAYER:

We pray in Jesus’ name: We submit to you Lord. We ask you to take your rightful place in our life as our Savior and Lord. Fill us with your love and your life. Amen! Hallelujah!

                    Ruling - A blessing given by God

Gen_12:3  I will bless those who bless you, and him who dishonors you I will curse, and in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.”

Family – the word appears here for the first time in the Bible which refers to human family.

The blessings given to man in the Bible is to rule over his  enemies.

Gen 49:8  “Judah, your brothers shall praise you; your hand shall be on the neck of your enemies; your father’s sons shall bow down before you. 

Judah is given the blessing of ruling over his own brothers’ generations.

Even King David praises the Lord for making him triumph over the enemies and giving them authority over the enemies. .

Psa 18:40 -43 You made my enemies turn their backs to me, and those who hated me I destroyed.   They cried for help, but there was none to save; they cried to the LORD, but he did not answer them.   I beat them fine as dust before the wind; I cast them out like the mire of the streets.   You delivered me from strife with the people; you made me the head of the nations; people whom I had not known served me. 

Willingness to be slaves – Sign of curse

The Lord always wanted His children to enjoy full freedom and  to be independent.  He never wanted them to be under Kings or Rulers who suppressed them and treated them as slaves. He wanted them to be only under Him, so that they can be His children and He will be an affectionate, loving Father to them.  He can nourish them, establish them, and lead them to  the fullness of life.

In all generations, God’s problem in dealing with man was this. They wanted to be under a human leader who will exploit them, manipulate them and  treat them like slaves.

They enjoyed serving human Kings and leaders even at the detriment of their health, wealth and everything. It  was not a problem for them. But it was a problem for God. He could not see  His children to be exploited by somebody. All the incidents of  intervention by God in human history either in Old Testament or the New Testament can be related to this fact. The reason is He is a righteous God and He wants to see justice and righteousness be meted out to everyone.  

In our Nation all of us know how we got freedom from the British. In the beginning only one man got the inspiration to fight for Freedom. If we go through history, we will come to know how tough it was to make people  freedom conscious! They loved slavery and the minimum  basic things the dictators provided were considered as privileges.

Jesus beautifully narrated this attitude of Adam’s cursed descendants in the following verse.

Luke 22:25  And he said to them, “The kings of the Gentiles exercise lordship over them, and those in authority over them are called benefactors.

                   Jesus the only God

After knowing Jesus for come years I started getting confirmation in my heart that Jesus is God and almost 8-9 years after knowing and walking with Jesus I decided to take baptism and read bible. Before this, I was testing Him whether He is God and whether He is able to answer people’s prayers. I found convincing myself and recalling those miracles and the voice I heard during my prayers whenever I would be in a difficult situations or circumstances. To my relief I would always get encouraged looking back from where I started my walk with Christ.

I belong to a Hindu family so whenever I happen to meet my friends and relatives, they would question me about my faith in Christ Jesus. I would try to convince that Jesus is the is a real God but all in vain. I often used to ponder on the questions raised by my relatives whether Jesus is God or just messenger of God as people of other religions claim for Jesus Christ. So I started to ask Holy Spirit about it and it so happened that while reading The Bible Holy Spirit started talking to me and highlighting the verses to assure me that Jesus and God are same. It is written in John 1:10

He was in the world, and the world was made through Him, yet the world did not know Him.

This verse says that He was in this world and we know that Jesus was on this earth and God the Father never came in this world.. then the verse says that the world was created through Him. It means the world was created through the one who came to the earth and that is JESUS. We all believe irrespective of our religion that there is one supreme God who has created this world and everything that is found on this earth and by, no other means this world could have been created, so it is to clear that Jesus is God and through  Him this world was created.

We all know that only God can give us eternal life for which people of all religions pray to their Gods and worship them, They all want to please their gods to get eternal life. But according

to John 3:36 Whoever believes in the son has eternal life, whoever does not obey the Son shall not see life……clearly indicating that only through Jesus, the Son (or God as pagans claim), we are eligible to receive eternal life. It again proves that Jesus is God who gives eternal life to those who believe Him.

In verse John 8:19 (b) – Jesus says,

“You know neither Me nor My Father. If you knew Me, you would know My Father also.

In the verse given Jesus wants to tell people that if they know Jesus then it is same as knowing God, the Father. We can never make such claims for our relationship with our earthly father as we are two separate individuals. No matter how likeness or similarities we have with our earthy father still  there would be many things which make us different from our Father. We can never say that if people know us they know our Father also. but since Jesus and Father are same, He boldly claims that knowing Him (Jesus) means knowing the Father

In John 14:7, Jesus says,

If you had known Me, you would have brown My Father also. From now on you do know Him and have seen Him

Here Jesus is again reassuring His disciples that knowing and seeing Jesus means knowing God and seeing God, the Father. We know that the disciples had never met with God The Father but they had seen only Jesus with them, still Jesus tells them that they had known and seen God the Father indicating that God, the Father and Jesus are same

John 14:9-10 says the same where Jesus says,

“Whoever has seen Me has seen the Father. How can you say, Show us the Father”? Do you not believe that I am in the Father and the Father is in Me?.

Now the ultimate statement by Jesus in

John 10:30

“I and the Father are one.”

Halleluiah! Jesus means God, the Father. So we are praying to true God, the creator of this entire universe Jesus Christ.

Now all those who are from gentile background would be glad to know this because when people come to Christ from different religion they are confused whether they are on the right track or not. After knowing these verses I am sure all would be delighted.

Prayer-

Thank You, Father for Your words which are our life. Thank You God, for sending your son Jesus to give us your word and eternal life and helping us to know you through Him. Amen.

Opposite of  Ruling is slavery

Slavery is a curse received at fall . Ruling is Governing and Administration..

Adam who was freely enjoying  “Kingship” over all that was created lost his ruling authority over everything in a single moment and became a slave all of a sudden after sin.  Everything else in the Cosmic world and nature, which he was ruler of, gained authority over him and started ruling over  him now.  The animal kingdom, Climate, vegetation, who were obedient to him started raising their head against him. Even  his own species (his sons) started rebellion

Slavery, oppression, suppression,  discrimination, war, killing, bombing,  &  genocide all originated on the earth due to the first sin of Adam.

Even the serpent when it was cursed, became the least of all in the animal kingdom.  Look at the curse which fell upon the serpent  – Cursed among all the animals and beasts . On belly you will  crawl, dust you will eat. 

Gen 3:14  The LORD God said to the serpent, “Because you have done this, cursed are you above all livestock and above all beasts of the field; on your belly you shall go, and dust you shall eat all the days of your life. 

Serpent was said to be the most beautiful animal,  a species more closer to human beings  on the  earth. Now it became the least of all animals.

To satan,

Gen 3:15  I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and her offspring; he shall bruise your head, and you shall bruise his heel.” 

You will live in enmity with  human beings. In all generations, Humanity will engage in an ongoing warfare  with satan . It will try to raise up its head, in all generations.  But it is bruised for ever.  It is not dead. But it is bruised. It will try to fight against but, will not succeed. In every  generation there will be   a remnant of people who will fight with satan and win over. 

To Adam,

Gen 3:17-19  And to Adam he said, “Because you have listened to the voice of your wife and have eaten of the tree of which I commanded you, ‘You shall not eat of it,’ cursed is the ground because of you; in pain you shall eat of it all the days of your life; and you shall eat the plants of the field. By the sweat of your face you shall eat bread, till you return to the ground, for out of it you were taken; for you are dust, and to dust you shall return.” 

The curses inherent in this:

• Thorns and thistles it shall bring forth for you. The earth which he was supposed  to rule became enemy to him.

The earth will not be friendly any longer with Adam.  In pain he will  eat the fruit – Earth will not yield its fruit and he  will have to struggle and fight with it to make it yield its fruit. It will create thorns and thistles which will hurt him  and trouble him. 

• “By the sweat of your face you shall eat bread”

In making his  livelihood, he  will have to fight hard against the soil which will consume  his energy which could have been spent for inventing  the beautiful things which the Lord had kept for him   on earth and in heavens.

• For out of it you were taken; for you are dust, and to dust you shall return.” 

Man became equal to dust.

All his thoughts, desires, likings, hopes, all his faculties came to be identified with the earth or mud. In one word to say, He lost his authority to rule but became equal to one of the beasts of the earth.

Aligning our thought to heaven became the toughest thing on the earth. I remember one chief Pastor once making this statement.

“Sister, let me tell you a truth. We all are running up and down 24 hours of the day, engaged in so many activities. We all know that we are missing something. Connectivity with God. If somebody  can make us sit in retreat for a few days, without mobile, that will be a great thing.”

“But He answered and said to them, ”My mother and My brothers are these who hear the Word of God and do it”.

  Luke8:21

In this verse Jesus clearly mention that those who  hear and do the Word of God are  His mother and brothers. That is kinship is based on our listening  to His Word and doing it.We should have a longing for truth and consider it more precious than  anything else. We must align our thoughts,actions,words,emotions with His Words, teachings and principles. The Word  contains the key to unlock all of life’s issues and problems. We should use it.All our problems are due to our ignorance of the key to open the treasures of the Kingdom of God.If we claim we are the children of God by faith in Christ, His Son. We are required to listen to the Word and obey it.

        John13:17 says that,”If you know these things, happy are you if you do them.”

       Many do not even listen, many listen but do not do, those who listen and do are the children of God.

                 We should not adopt ,what all ,the world teaches us.We must be wise to choose and confirm to the pattern of the Word of God .Apostle John reveals that Jesus is the   word. Jesus came as a human on this earth following the principles of the Word of God. Jesus drove out all evil  practices from the temple of Jerusalem .Similarly we have to drive out all personal demons from us, the temple of God. We have to spend time in prayer and fellowship with God. We have to be careful about every word we speak and every emotions we manifest in our daily lives. We have to give first priority in our lives to the matters of the Lord. We should forgive as Jesus forgives us and love our enemies. Like the prodigal son, we must return to the Lord, repent and ask for forgiveness and must not sin again .

                Jesus has given us many keys, the Word, to unlock the life’s issues and problems. The Word encourage and heal us . If we are threatened by death and disease, use the key “Lord satisfy  me with long life and after that give  me eternal life”.psalms91:16

      If we are going for a journey the key is in psalms 2:12,”kiss the Son  before you leave lest you perish on the way “.

      In period of sorrow we can use the key in Psalms116:8,”For you have delivered my soul from death, my eyes from tears and my feet from falling”.

 Lord will place a safety net to catch us while we fall. He will wipe away tears from our eyes.

   If we want success in business or academics, we need to use the key in Psalms1:1-3,”Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly nor stands in the path of sinners………………..And whatever he does shall prosper”.

       If we are facing sickness the key is, ”He forgives me all my sin and heals me of all my diseases “. Psalms 103:3

   If in fear of pandemic, the key is Isaiah54:17,”No weapon formed against you shall prosper”.

   If some  guilt feelings haunted us , use the key Jeremiah 30:17,”I will heal all your wounds”.

     When people hurt you ,be still and use the key ,” Vengeance is mine I will repay”. Romans12:19

     Thus for each problem there is a key . Do not depend on our own understanding but use the wisdom of the Lord. Such a person built his house on foundations of the rock of obedience to His Word.
