Simeon took him in his arms and praised God, saying: 29“Sovereign Lord, as you have promised, you may now dismiss your servant in peace.30 For my eyes have seen your salvation,31  which you have prepared in the sight of all nations:
32 a light for revelation to the Gentiles, and the glory of your people Israel.

Luke 2:28-32

Simeon, a man from Jerusalem is described as a righteous and devout man and the Holy Spirit was upon him. The Holy Spirit had revealed to him that he won’t die unless he sees the Lord’s Messiah. All of us have some promises given by the Lord regarding our life, our children, our family, our situations.

Do we wait upon those patiently like the devout Simeon for the promise, to see and touch with his hands?

Often, we tend to give up on our promises from God because it has taken a long time or the circumstances don’t look favourable or we have taken people’s opinion on it. So, who is leading us?

I was given a promise when my younger son was in his 12th std. that he would leave the country after his graduation and would pursue his PG abroad. Nothing looked favourable and then he was just in the 12th. When he graduated as a Biotech engineer, things got worse thanks to covid, losing my job etc. It was a stormy season but I had the grace to hold onto God’s promises and took tangible steps towards it in a hopeless situation. But then, that’s where God likes to display His power. Amidst many a challenges and impossibilities on the 5th of May 2022, my son landed in Canada to pursue his PG. Praise God! He was faithful to the last alphabet of what He had spoken.

When Simeon looked at that baby swaddled by His mother’s arms, he felt like those who dream. He took the baby, the Lord’s Messiah in his own arms and praised God, his eyes had seen what God promised him. Do you remember Paul’s journey in Acts 27, the storm and the ship-wreck? But Paul was given an assurance when all hope was lost, the angel reminded him that he had to stand before Caesar so he wont die, he had a promise from God. Acts 27: 24 saying, ‘Do not be afraid, Paul; you must be brought before Caesar; and indeed, God has granted you all those who sail with you.’ Paul and all 276 of them survive the ship wreck.

So Next Time You Have A Bad Situation Just Remind Yourself Of What God Has Promised You And Gain Confidence That This Ship Wreck Won’t Kill You.

If you have God given promises in your life, hang in there until you touch it, see it, even if nothing looks favourable. For in His time, it shall come to pass for sure.

Loving heavenly Father, thank you that you are faithful to the last word, help us to have patience and wait upon you faithfully. Like Simeon may we be led by the Holy Spirit into our God given promises, in Jesus mighty name. Amen!!

Matthew 4:18-22 As Jesus was walking beside the Sea of Galilee, he saw two brothers, Simon called Peter and his brother Andrew. They were casting a net into the lake, for they were fishermen. “Come, follow me,” Jesus said, At once they left their nets and followed him.

Positive Thing In The Disciples:

The only positive nature is their OBEDIENCE. When Jesus said follow me, they immediately left their boats
& nets and followed Jesus.

During their early days of training, they are very dull.

Matthew 15:16 “Are you still so dull?” Jesus asked them.
Once they started the ministry, they are filled with power, miracles and wonders.

Acts 19:12 So that even handkerchiefs and aprons that had touched him were taken to the sick, and their illnesses were cured and the evil spirits left them.

Acts 4:13 When the chief priests and elders saw the courage of Peter and John and realized that they were unschooled, ordinary men, they were astonished and they took note that these men had been with Jesus.

PERSONAL TESTIMONY

The Lord chose me even though I’m not talented or worthy.
When I attended the troop church for the first time, I was very dull. Not good at sharing the word, leading a team, leading worship, etc. When my troop church leader told me not to go to the traditional building church on the 1st day of the troop, I simply obeyed it and never gone to the traditional building church from that day.

The only positive thing in me is the obedience.
Then the Lord started to train me as I was sitting at his feet and listening to his words.

Now the Lord taught me how to lead and serve him. He also enabled me to build the worship department. Also used me to build Sapphire University, 24 hours online worship, etc. All glory to God for using this unworthy vessel to do mighty works for his kingdom.

PRAYER:

Thank you Lord for choosing this unworthy and unskilful servant and moulded into a useful tool for building your kingdom.

Through the verse Mt.4:1,we clearly understands that Jesus Christ was taken to the wilderness to be tempted by the tempter(satan)

Jesus was extremely hungry as He had fasted for forty days and nights in the wilderness.

The Devil Was Trying To Take Advantage Of A Weak Moment,A Physical Weakness Due To Lack Of Food.

But Jesus replied to the tempter with the above verse quoting Deuteronomy 8:3.The verse implies that even if we need food for our body,we need food for our spiritual man, that is the word of God..

Just as food contains vitamins and medicine needed for body

Every Word In Scripture Contains And Releases Healing To Our Spirits And Minds.

During my adolescent days my dad lost his business.so me and my brother had to work to support the family.I attended more than fifty interviews but in vain. I knew that God was teaching me perseverance, finally in 2011 I got a job but had to work night shift. It was a challenge for me . But my God strengthened me to work and succeed. Now I am a teacher. All glory to God.

The emphasis is on“every word”.we need to consume the word and meditating on one word at a time to discover its inner spiritual nutrients,meanings and secrets.

• The word is alive,
  • dynamic,
  • sharp,
  • penetrative and
  • double-edged.

Every day we need food to sustain our life.similarly we need spiritual food for the inner man.when we consume it the fire,the passion, the energy ,

THE STRENGTH OF GOD IS INVESTED IN US.

In meditation we break the word into its smaller parts.The word is medicine to us, it heals us of our inner ailments.It is both an offensive or defensive weapon. It is a hammer and a fire. Inside us.Jeremiah.23:29,Hebrews12:29

Unlike manna of the old testament time
It can be stored and brought out of our hearts and mouths by Holy Spirit.(John 14:26,1 John2:27)whenever needed.It has an answer for every question and solution to every life problems and it satisfies us.

Father,God, Thank You For All The Blessings That You Have Showered Upon Us.Lord Give Us Your Strength To Overcome The Temptations And Grow,Stronger In Faith.

But do we really take part in knowing the Power of His Resurrection?

 Before I used to think and ask the Lord, how the Apostles did and what made them do such righteous and miraculous works revealing the heavenly power, but here we stand, often asking forgiveness for not exercising our authority, spiritual gifts, and what makes us fall behind again and again. One day while a sister was sharing the message about baptism, the word “Resurrection” which I had heard of a lot sounded quite different. I felt the dry parts of my mind getting revived in the power of the Holy Spirit, which made me acknowledge what I have to magnify more about and changed my viewpoint of things to a whole new perspective.  

That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved." 
                                                        (Romans 10:9)

“He was delivered up for our trespasses and raised for our justification” (Romans 4:25).  

Without realising and walking in the power of resurrection, the work of redemption and justification remains incomplete.

THE APOSTLES know and also confessed that Jesus Is The Son Of God, healed sickness, broke the bondages of people and did miracles in Jesus name, when they were given the authority to do so.

It is the resurrection of Jesus that revealed His true nature and made the apostles lead the largest movement ever known to man. The preaching in the book of Acts emphasized more about the power of resurrection than the work of redemption. He has promised that He will be with us to the end of time. This changes everything.

A dead hero in the grave is no help to us.

But A Risen Savior In Heaven Gives Us Great Confidence And Power!

The Resurrection power is in you!

Jesus was, “declared to be the Son of God in power according to the Spirit of holiness by his resurrection from the dead” (Romans 1:4). “But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you.” (Romans 8:11)

Every Christian believes and receives salvation, but sadly, most aren’t operating in the fullness of the resurrection power available to every one of us. Though we have experienced the different gifts of the Holy Spirit, to get operated in full, this amazing power from the Spirit of Holiness is available within us to transform, equip, and empower us. As in Philippians 3:10, practice more to know Him and the power of His resurrection. Just as the resurrection itself was impossible for anyone but God, the power behind the resurrection will take you into situations that are impossible for you to deal successfully with on your own. Let us march forward reviving the dry and dead, experiencing the power of resurrection everyday!

Heavenly  Father give me the grace to have the  power of your resurrection   to deal with  difficult situations.

Reliance on  God’s Power

When Elisha and the sons of prophets decided to go to Jordan and build a dwelling there, the iron axe-head of one of them fell into water while cutting wood

“But as one was felling a beam, the axe head fell into the water: and he cried, and said, Alas, master! for it was borrowed.”

2 Kings 6:4-5

It symbolises the sorrows given to us by others. Their harshness, injustices, atrocities etc. are like an iron axe head which press us down, do not allow us to come to the surface and breathe the fresh air of freedom

And the man of God said, Where fell it? And he shewed him the place. And he cut down a stick, and cast it in thither; and the iron did swim.

2 Kings 6:6

Can we solve our problems with our own efforts? Can we take out the iron from the bottom of water by making arduous efforts? So, whom should we seek? The Word of God is like a stick which Elisha cast in the water. The result was that the iron floated contrary to the laws of nature and science! Similarly, laborious efforts and powers of the world cannot solve our problems.

We need to trust our Heavenly Father to take the ‘iron’ out of our lives by simply trusting Him that He is leading us through a perfect plan.

Divine Courage and Lord’s Forgiveness Reflected

Elisha had visionary powers which served to defeat every plan which the Syrians made to besiege Israel.

So, the King of Syria sent a host of troops to capture him. When Elisha’s servant informed him of the approaching troops, he was not at all moved or afraid.

 And he answered, Fear not: for they that be with us are more than they that be with them.

2 Kings 6:16

Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.

1John4:4

Elisha used his power of prayer to make them all blind. Then, he led them to Samaria promising to hand over their target (he himself) to them, which they were unaware of. Then, he offered another prayer to restore their eyes.

When the King of Israel asked Elisha to smite them, the latter not only asked him to forgive them but directed him to serve their enemies with bread and drink.

After feeding his enemies, he safely sent them away. And after that the Syrian bands didn’t come to Israel.

For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.

Matthew 6:14

“But love ye your enemies, and do good, and lend, hoping for nothing again;”.

Luke 6:35

When I feel pressed down in my life as human nature is very deceptive, I always rely on the love of Abba Father and His sovereign power. He works in ways which can defy the laws of nature. If we have enough faith, we can even walk on water as our Master did. It all depends on how much we submit to His will, remain focused on His teachings and listen to the voice of the Holy spirit.

PRAYER

Heavenly Father, help us to always rely on you for all our physical,emotional and spiritual needs. May we always place our trust in God as with Him, nothing is impossible.  May the peace of God always rule our hearts.

Paul is here trying to tell us that it is important to be  content in all situations. It is important to rely on God’s strength even when others ready to help us.we have to submit ourselves  completely  to God, He will work in our life in different  ways. He promised us that “He will never leave us nor  forsake  us”. Hebrews 13:5. He is the author and perfector of our lives. He strengthen us from within and  makes us able to do all things. He gives us hope, confidence, wisdom, courage, ability and knowledge like He gave to Moses.

Moses said to God that he couldn’t  do it because  of the stammering  tongue, Lord urged him to take Aaron with him as a speaker. If we are ready God will arrange everything for us.

               The gifts and abilities are not seen together in all people. But if you are a believer Jesus will  manifest His strength, power and grace. It was the stammering  Moses who thundered “Let my people go”. If Lord want us for His kingdom work He will  equip us, train us and motivate us. We can do many things for Him, deliver people from their bondages, diseases, or comfort  others.  Wherever we are put ,be a testimony to others like Daniel and his friends. God will induce courage in us to face all the trials and afflictions.

            Despite  his frequent needs and harsh treatment, Paul joy fully declares his confidence that    God  will  allow   him to endure  anything. Paul’s words reflected the gospel teaching  nothing is impossible with God .(Mathew19:26,Mark 10:27Luke 1:37)  In Romans8:31  Paul says “if God is for us  who can be against  us”.

Paul’s confidence can be found throughout his writings. It is written to encourage the weak and those that find themselves in difficult circumstances. Paul recognized that when we are positioned in Christ, abiding in Him, and remaining in fellowship with the Father, we are  equipped  for  any crisis in our life.

”  Not by might nor by power but by my Spirit says the Lord”. 

Zechariah 4:6

          God is good and His word is true. Due to physical disability I used to struggle   a lot and would find things overwhelming. I always recite this verse and God has strengthened me in doing a lot of ordinary household chores like cooking, cleaning, driving, doing home deliveries and managing the restaurant in a foreign country. Thank you, Jesus, for helping me.

Prayer

         Heavenly Father gives me the grace to endure all hardships in my life. You are my strength and your word sustains me.

“Asa cried unto the Lord his God, and said, Lord, it is nothing with thee to help, whether with many, or with them that have no power: help us ,O Lord our God, for we rest on thee, and in thy name we go against………….Ethiopians fled”. 

2 Chronicles 14:11-12 

              Asa cried to God for help ,when the  Ethiopians came out against  them  with 10 lakh people and 300 chariots.Asa was confessing that it is a light thing for thee, that the lord may help the strong and the weak. O Lord our God! Support us, we have come to oppose this multitude of people. We are dependent on you for your mercy. 

          And the Lord gave victory over the Ethiopians before Asa and the Ethiopians fled. The army that was with Asa was 5,80,000 people. But 10 lakh people were there with Zerah’s Ethiopian army to oppose him plus 300 chariots. If you look at whose count is more in the army we know that it was the Ethiopians. 

 But, What Happened? 

Asa looked upon the Lord God. He was not afraid to see the Ethiopian Army or chariots with 10 lakh people. He trusted in the Lord God. He went against the army with trust in the Lord God. Strong or weak if our trust is in the Lord we can win is what we understand from Asa’s war with Ethiopians. 

Dear ones, Things that come against us can be something beyond our strength. May  be we are not able to stand against it. But when you rely on the Lord God alone & ask for help, the lord will give us victory. 

Testimony 

I learned many things from the Lord through David school of Worship. The Lord Poured out an infinite anointing on me and gave me a song in my mouth.

3. Praying for the nations and making it our Lord’s Land, Let us shout Hallelujah and rejoice in the Lord

“He wore a robe dipped in blood,and his title was the ‘Word of God”

Revelation 19:13

Jesus is seen returning  as a conquering king and as the  Lord of  Lords. John observed that His robe was dipped in blood  He shed on the cross for our sins..Isaiah 63,:2-3 gives this event with a question and answer.2-“why are your clothes so red, as if you have been treading out grapes?”3-.In My  anger I trampled  My enemies as if they were grapes.

 Their blood  has stained My clothes”.

                   In the first  coming Jesus filled the role of the Lamb of God and shed His blood for our sins.At His second coming He will fill the role of the Lion of the tribe of Judah and devour His enemies because of their sins.His name is written  prominent as “The Word of God”. This identifies the rider on the white  horse as Jesus ,who came to earth first time as the  God in flesh but was rejected by the world.(John 1:1-2,10-11,14).He came for the salvation of the world and that is why the words He spoke over people were Spirit and He said it’s the spirit that gives life. The word is  active and alive.

               When He told them that no one can come to Him  unless the Father enables them, from that time many of His disciples left and  then Jesus turned and asked the 12 disciples do you also want to leave Me? Then Peter replied John 6:68 “Lord whom shall we go. You have the word of eternal life”.

Little he knew that Jesus not only had the word but He Himself was the word of God. Later the size of His battle,suffering  and rejection determined and proved how great was Jesus’s calling to receive  such resistance from worldly men and Satan.

This eternal truth boldly .”In the beginning  the word already existed. The word was with God and the word was God”. The word became flesh and dwelt among us.

John1:1,14

We  have seen His glory , a glory of the one came from the Father full of grace and truth. The word has the power to heal,sustain,cleanse  and transform.

Ephesians5:26

Jesus said to His disciples that you are clean because of the word I have spoken to you.

                Yes Jesus is alive, Hallelujah and He is the resurrection  and life. He gives eternal life to all those who believe in Him.All things we see in nature are created  by the ‘  word ,'(Jesus)..The word alone has the power of life because of the unfolding  of the word  the light shines forth.

“”The teaching of your word  gives light”.

Testimony

          I had seen and experienced  the power of the Word healing  my brother. When I went to  his house I called my friends and relatives for a prayer meeting. But he objected it. After two days I went back to my place. Later I came to know that he lost  the sight of one of his eyes. The Holy  Spirit prompt me to pray for him and  ask  Gods’ forgiveness. I prayed with great burden and put  healing words on him. Miraculously he was healed. But he didn’t give glory to God .so he became very sick with swelling of heart and bleeding  from kidney. Again I prayed with tears and God healed him. Now he has that  guilt  feeling  and  repentance. All glory to God.

        Thank you Lord for being  the word, coming in the flesh to save us from eternal  condemnation  and death.

Today I found a different definition for enemies from Bible.

Enemies are the messengers God send to you. Whatever form they take – human beings, sickness, tsunami, flood, failure, unemployment, mental depression, drought, division, rebellion etc. they are sent by God to convey a message. Without receiving the message, if you start reacting with them, you will fail. It may take another form too.

Let us know more from Bible.

When the Lord created Adam and Eve, everything was in harmony with them. The climate, nature, everything was favourable. After sin, everything turned against them. Hatred, betrayal, accusing, lie, fear, hiding, etc. came along with sin.

When we obey God and His commandments, God will fight with our enemies and everything will be harmonious in our life.

Whereas, when we disobey God and violate His commandments, God will raise enemies against us. In other words, God Himself will become enemy to us.

  And God’s anger was kindled because he went. And the Angel of Jehovah stood in the way as an enemy against him. ….

Num22:22

Jesus Christ came to this earth to remove the eternal wrath of God towards humanity and to reconcile us with the Father. He showed us an example how to make God relent from His anger.

And Jesus said, Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they do.

Luke 23:34

The Lord Heavenly Father heard His prayer, answered it and reconciled the whole humanity to Himself.

We come to the conclusion that we can make friends out of our enemies. It is the will of God too. We have an important role to play in making our enemies get reconciled with God.  How we can practice it?

Let us realise that the enemy has been sent to us by the Lord.

1. Find out the message of God the enemy is bringing to you.
2. Accept it and humble yourselves. Confess your sins. 
3. Make a sincere effort to search yourself and find out where you have gone wrong.  Ask Holy Spirit’s help.

 The enemy in rage would have accused you of something. Perhaps that can be the message.

Suppose you have given money as loan to somebody. He cheated you and did not repay you.  He becomes your enemy.

What is the message God is giving here.

1. May be he is willing to repay but he does not have. God did not allow him to repay to you. It can be an incident of God Himself make you pay back your ancestors have stolen from others. In that case you should not get angry with your enemy but should be thankful for helping you to come out of the curse.
2. May be, it is a promotion test for you from God,  to test you whether you comply with the verse,

Give to everyone who asks of you, and from him who takes away your goods, do not ask them again.

MY TESTIMONY:

Once in the year 2013, our relatives came to our house to invite us on the wedding. They told us that they have now started believing in Jesus Christ, so a day before the marriage, there will be a prayer meeting instead of worshiping the goddess in their house. They told us the gospel of the Lord and many testimonies. We listened in astonishment. We reached their house on the day of prayer meeting. Seeing so much heavenly sight, worship, prayers etc., I could not hold back tears from my eyes. After the meeting, some people asked a sister to do personal prayer. For that everyone was asked to sit down. I said that I have pain in my knees so I cannot sit on the ground. They supported me and made me sit down somehow and asking my name as well, that sister started praying for me. I didn’t understand much but heard with faith. Tears were pouring down from my eyes. Everyone started saying that the Holy Spirit is touching me. When the prayer was over, everyone started getting up, so I stood up without support. I felt as if someone had oiled my knees.

Later I told them that I had knee pain for 18 years. Homeopathy, Ayurveda, Allopathy all treatments done, my house is full of x-rays and medicines, no relief came. Doctor has advised me for knee replacement and has been asked to arrange Rs. 5,00,000/-.

Everyone consoled me that prayer has been done for you, SO LORD JESUS HAS NOW COMPLETELY HEALED YOU. I couldn’t believe what it was in a minute’s prayer that Jesus Christ healed me. In fact, in 2-4 days,

I STARTED RUNNING AS IF MY FEET HAD GOT WHEELS.

The Lord gave me new life. My embarrassment also went away and my surgery was also cancelled. I have no problem in sitting down, walking, running, but also God made me worthy to participate in table tennis tournaments as well. So big Miracle happened in my life. As the Lord spoke to me through this word:

 Mark 5: 34 “And he said to her, “Daughter, your faith has made you well; go in peace, and be healed of your disease.”

I really saw this word come true, and with the help of the Holy Spirit, I too began to speak living words of healing to the sick.

Then I felt such a strong power of prayer.

God can do such a great thing by listening to a minute prayer that it can change someone’s life.

Jeremiah 17: 14 “Heal me, O Lord, and I shall be healed; save me, and I shall be saved, for you are my praise.

Lord Jesus Christ took upon Himself all our ailments and sorrows in this world. He went on to console those who were in pain and in need.

Psalms 30: 2 “O Lord my God, I cried to you for help, and you have healed me.”

Yes, Lord is always there not only for physical healing but also for our social, financial, mental, emotional, spiritual healings too. We have to cry for his help only.

In the year 2020, I had joined AOJ during the lockdown. It is a matter of chance that I was made the Coordinator of the Healing School of North through Dr. Albert Jones brother. Then after attending the classes of healing school, Lord gave me chance to teach also. Thereafter, Lord made me the National Healing Coordinator for 6 months. When 6 months were completed in that too, I was made the National Leader of Healing Gift School. Lord gave me promotions in healing school this way.

Lord is opening new doors in many states for Bethesda Healing Schools now.

I pray for thanks that Lord You have also given the gift of healing by giving me healing which I can use for the sick and they can be healed by the power of GOD.

May you be a source of strength in our body, courage in our soul and patience in pain.

Our body is God’s temple to you, there is no place for disease and despair.

May all be washed and cleansed with your holy blood. We declare that dear Jesus Christ, we are all healed by your whipping.
May all the glory be to you Lord. Amen! Hallelujah!
