A related example in Bible is Joseph. He was hated by his brothers because he was greatly loved by their father and also for his dreams. So he was sold as a slave. God permitted long sufferings and acid tests in Egypt before elevating him to the level of Prime Minister. At this juncture he never took vengeance at his brothers, instead he treated them kindly and could also explain to them God’s amazing ways of protecting his people.
Jesus said,
“Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness’ sake, for theirs is the Kingdom of Heaven”. Matt 5:10

“So let us strive to be perfect as our Heavenly Father is perfect.” Matt 5:48
